Security ONE, an authorized security dealer in Ontario, Canada, recently helped a local citizen in need by installing Resideo security products in her home. Haifa Gebrail of Leamington, Ontario, suffered serious injuries after she was assaulted inside her home in June of 2018. The assailant was later arrested and charged, but Haifa spent six months recovering in a hospital from her injuries.
Security ONE decided to help her now that she’s living on her own again as part of its fifth annual “Who Deserves to Win” contest. This contest gives holiday gifts to a deserving recipient nominated by the community. Haifa emerged as the winner from more than 200 nominations. You can view the video of her story here.
“What happened to Haifa is every person’s worst nightmare. It’s the kind of crime you only see on TV or in the movies,” said Corey Robertson, Security ONE’s Sales & Loyalty Manager. “We’ve seen the Leamington community rally around Haifa, and we couldn’t be prouder to help give her and her family the peace of mind and protection they deserve.”
For their efforts in their annual “Who Deserves to Win” contest, Security ONE received a Community Service Award from Resideo at the recent CONNECT 2018 Conference, the industry’s largest independent dealer gathering.
“The security industry’s mission is creating safer and smarter communities,” said Alice DeBiasio, vice president and general manager of global residential security, Resideo. “Companies like Security ONE help make this vision a reality for local families and businesses. Resideo is proud to have Security ONE as a customer and even more proud of their support of Haifa.”
